a warm november morning

How pleased I am that it is November.
For me, it is a "free" month. A lay low month. A time to settle in.
My little studio is almost ready for use. How I long to hide away there with my new altered book project that is for me alone. No class to guide me but my own intuition.
An escape into a world of small.

The giant hydrangea bush is in its most gloriously magical and romantic state

this morning's dawn has brought a surprising gift of warmth

This starburst of soft red is a welcome sight, but really must be over-wintered in the ground

And me? I'm just a shadow of my former self
but all the richer for it!
peace

It was not a warm morning in Guelph; damp and rainy off and on. A ray of sunshine made a brief appearance later in the day. Now at nearly midnight, it is only a few degrees above freezing with a clear [I just checked!] sky and stars visible. Your autumn photos are beautiful. Most leaves are gone; there has been a lot of wind. Enjoy the glory of it all! BB

Thank you dear Barbara. We had your wind and are due for your cold today, but that is November the cuddle-up-in-your-blanket month.

are you going to cut some stems of the hydrangea and dry them?
so lucky to have one of those.
best of luck hunkering down in your new studio

Your lovely photos show what we all want from Autumn, colour, a slight nip in the air and sunshine, unfortunately we seem to be getting rather wetter dull days, ah well .

Barbara, Thank you. The studio is slowly coming together as there is so much sorting to do. The hydrangeas are past their best drying stage, so another year.

The Woolly dog- thank you and yes, you are so right about this succession of dreary days, but there will be sun soon again. Thank you for visiting!
