love all around you

It is officially spring.  The snow and ice are trying to recede; and in a way,  so am I.
How much there is to keep up with if one is to be fully engaged in this modern life with all its comings and goings.  I don't have the multi-task bug I once had,  doing a million things in a day.

The winter has a built-in quietude that appeals to my creative side.  Spring is already demanding that I be available for Life, for friends and family,  for worldly responsibilities that I've managed to avoid until recently.  Commitments are beginning to stack up,  and so this is my way of apologizing for being away so long again.

I so wanted to have something special to show you by now,  but, as with so many things,  that will come when it's ready.  Thank-you and welcome to my newest followers Michele of Pipi La La  and  Cathy of One Pink Goose who are artists in New Zealand and England respectively whom you can click on to check out their lovely work.

So, until next we meet, I send my blessings and wishes for clarity and love all around you.

each ephemeral flower

Our small precious planet.
Sometimes it must feel as if it has turned upside down
and nothing is as it was.

Yet each time we create something-
a meal, an act of kindness, a thought-
it's as if a new flower has grown on the tree of our life.

I don't really see any recourse except to make each ephemeral flower an act of love.

all life's kindness and sweetness

Hello - again and finally.  My apologies for being away so long. I didn't see that coming.
And welcome new followers rosie/dcam and Desi Minchillo.  What a nice surprise to come back to!

I could easily rewrite the last entry for it is blowing and snowing again.  The days blur together so that last week seems like yesterday.  I have been exploring life on etsy, the world of online craft and art.  It's been about a month since I opened my shop, and I've enjoyed acquainting myself with some of the other artists.  What a world of talent there is out there.  If you are following this blog, you probably share my joy in the profoundly unique way people have of expressing themselves.  This is one of the greatest blessings of being human, our awe-inspiring uniqueness and our equally diverse ways of manifesting it.  I often wonder what the world would be like if this capacity for creating was incorporated into the lives of EVERYONE.  What if  everyone was invested in some form of creativity that MEANT something to them, so that new and incredible things were constantly being invented, not according to trends in colour or fashion, but out of the one true source?

That's all I have to say today.  But I promise to return soon with something fun to share.

All life's kindness and sweetness on you.
