lambie love

Last day of February embodies layers of meaning for me.

an urge to get into the country overwhelms me

the Gaspereau Valley is only minutes away

yet we don't get out there nearly often enough

the Gaspereau River runs through the valley

land or orchards

and vineyards

and other types of farms

today you may want to brace yourself for blurry shots of

sheep

and lambs

Lots

and lots

of lambs

pretty rare

and precious

for a city girl like me

I love watching the little critters

Their tender smiles

their innate innocence

too precious

too dear

and then suddenly they are bubbly

bounding about with abandon

no purpose no particular direction

even on mamas back

oops, a little confusion

and on another mamas back

it's all a bit much for mama

a fine sheep she is

a noble placid profile

and donkey watches on

a careful eye on the babies

Tomorrow, another installment of our country drive, so good for the soul.

let the animals show you how it's done

it's been a long time

It's been a long time since I've shown your any of the creative stuff I've been doing.

I started this piece about 2 weeks ago

and lay down a whack of colour today

Like my dying bouquet, I've waited too long
and lost my initial impulse
but that doesn't mean something special
can't still happen.

everything is more beautiful

The gods envy us

They envy us because we're mortal

Because each moment could be our last

 Everything is more beautiful because

we are doomed

you will never be lovelier than you are now

we will never be here again.

love and fog

This morning I woke up to FOG.
After last night's snow it is now 9 degrees Centigrade ( that's 45F)
No wonder the fog

The view from our bedroom window of our garden in snow,
the field obliterated by fog

Out in my pajamas to catch the view to the southeast,
kitty tracks (not ours) leading to the field,
snowmobile tracks circumferencing the field,
Ah, and the trees beyond.

Last night was like a party here
Babu and I entertained ourselves with ribbon

All the funny action shots are too blurry to share

But an occasional few were salvageable

beginning to flag

and a little rest before the next session

This time using the chair as an extra challenge

How to access a ribbon the hard way

tangling up at sixes and sevens

Muji watches the show

intrigued but not impressed

too much goofy
too much crazy

But Muji knows better

Let's not forget that Love is where we put our Attention.
